ADA Majlis is a series of analytical discourse, which extends one of the key missions of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA). It draws attention to Azerbaijan's emergence as a regional leader, creates a thought-provoking public forum on current global issues and their impact on Azerbaijan.

It has three components: Majlis, Global Perspectives and Friday Hearings.

Mr. Fariz Ismailzade is Director of Advanced Foreign Service Program at the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy. In addition to moderating the ADA Majlis, he has also been a moderator of ADA Debates, a monthly series aimed at training debating skills.

European Gas Demand: the Share of the Caspian

As Baku hosted the annual Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference, ADA Majlis returned to the subject of Energy Security for Europe and its implications for Azerbaijan.

The panelists, experts and stakeholders discuss the pros and cons of Azerbaijani and Caspian Basin Gas reaching European consumers via the proposed Nabucco pipeline, with particular attention to the intricacies of balancing economic and geopolitical priorities.
