ADA Majlis is a series of analytical discourse, which extends one of the key missions of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA). It draws attention to Azerbaijan's emergence as a regional leader, creates a thought-provoking public forum on current global issues and their impact on Azerbaijan.
It has three components: Majlis, Global Perspectives and Friday Hearings.
As ADA Majlis starts a new season, the first program is dedicated to the evolution of the U.S.-Azerbaijan relations, its development from sanctions to the level of strategic partnership and overall the U.S. Foreign Policy in the Caspian region.
Special Guests of the program is Ambassador Hafiz Pashayev, Rector of Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy and Ambassador Richard Armitage, former Deputy Secretary of State. As the coordinator of the U.S. Assistance for the Newly Independent States, Mr. Armitage advocated and arranged first humanitarian assistance for the Azerbaijani refugees and IDPs. Later on, he was actively involved in developing and implementing the U.S. Policy in the Caucasus region.
A special focus of the program is on the changing nature of the U.S. power in the world.
