ADA Majlis is a series of analytical discourse, which extends one of the key missions of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA). It draws attention to Azerbaijan's emergence as a regional leader, creates a thought-provoking public forum on current global issues and their impact on Azerbaijan.
It has three components: Majlis, Global Perspectives and Friday Hearings.
ADA Majlis reviews global events and trends of 2009 and their impact on Azerbaijan, from the inauguration of U.S. President Obama and his claim to a new multilateralism, its implications for US-Russian relations, the continuing global financial crisis, a new and reformed Europe, to, last, but certainly not least, the rapprochement between Turkey and Armenia.
This, the final ADA Majlis for 2009, also concludes the 90th anniversary of the Foreign Service of Azerbaijan, and, on that occasion, is recorded at the birthplace of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, in the beautiful city of Ganja.
Joining Moderator Fariz Ismailzade and co-host, Rector of ADA and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hafiz Pashayev, are Chief of the International Relations Department of the Presidential Administration, Novruz Mammadov, and Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs Araz Azimov, Khalaf Khalafov, Mahmud Mammadquliyev and Vagif Sadigov.
