The subregional country stage of the 45th International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC), an algorithmic programming contest for college students took place online on November 29.
The two teams of the School of Information Technologies and Engineering — “Road to the Final” and “Noobies” — representing ADA University, secured the top 2 slots of the Contest and were awarded the first-degree diploma. The "Road to the Final" group, which included Huseyn Hajiyev, Alakbar Askarov, Ibrahim Taghizade took first place, "Noobies", bringing together Gunel Huseynli, Khalil Asadzade, Mirazim Tolipovand took second place by outperforming more than 70 teams from 18 higher education institutions of Azerbaijan.
Teams of ADA — A1Z (Fuad Fataliyev, Abdullah Kazimov, Jamil Orucov) and Passengers (Samir Nabiyev, Ayan Hashimova, Nijat Aliyev) —represented our University, too. Both teams were part of a subregional country stage.
During the Contest, the teams were instructed to solve 13 algorithmic problems in 5 hours.
