ADA University and ADA School held online discussions to mark 97th birthday anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev

On May 10, ADA University and ADA School held two online discussions with the presence of students to mark the 97th birthday anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
ADA University's online discussion was conducted with guest speaker Ganira Pashayeva, chairperson of the committee on culture in Milli Majlis.

Ganira Pashayeva proudly emphasized Heydar Aliyev's services to his beloved nation, remembered his successful and powerful speeches on international platforms. While speaking about the legacy and political course of national leader, Ms. Pashayeva mentioned that he sincerely believed the role of an intellectual and professional youth in strengthening the independence of Azerbaijan.

Ms. Pashayeva touched upon her numerous trips with Heydar Aliyev, remembered his discussions with press representatives, and recalled him as a friend of journalists.
Moderator of online discussion, Vice-Rector of ADA University, Fariz Ismailzade underlined that Heydar Aliyev is the role model for our young generation and expressed his gratitude to MP Pashayeva for joining the online discussion and having an interesting talk with students.

Another online discussion to mark Heydar Aliyev's birthday anniversary was held by ADA School students with keynote speaker Betty Blair, an experienced journalist, editor of Azerbaijan International Magazine.
Speaking at the online meeting, Ms. Blair, remembered her several meetings with Heydar Aliyev, shared her pleasant memories and observations about Heydar Aliyev's professional behavior, leadership skills, and dedication to Azerbaijanism and statehood.
Ms. Blair remembered her exclusive interview took place during President Heydar Aliyev's official visit to the United States.
"As one of the lucky journalists, I interviewed him more times than any other Western journalist, and every time his strengthful nature grabbed my attention," said journalist Blair.
Ms. Blair demonstrated the first volume of Azerbaijan International magazine to ADA School students by recalling her difficulties in publishing the volume due to limited IT resources at that time in 1993 and highlighted Heydar Aliyev's enduring support to the magazine.

ADA University Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs, moderator of the online discussion Vafa Kazdal thanked Betty Blair for her contribution to the recognition of our country among the international community and expressed appreciation on behalf of the ADA community for sharing her valuable memories with national leader Heydar Aliyev with ADA School students.
