Ruslan Aliyev, an assistant professor of economics in the School of Business, ADA University co-authored two chapters of a new book published by the Asian Development Bank titled “Azerbaijan. Moving Toward More Diversified, Resilient, and Inclusive Development”.
The co-authors emphasize the need for diversification, particularly in the agriculture, tourism, and manufacturing sectors. Each chapter of the book provides conclusions and policy recommendations on diverse topics, including Strengthening Human Capital, Enhancing Infrastructure for Economic Diversification and Competitiveness, and Transforming State-Owned Enterprises into Engines of Growth. The findings of the book support a reform strategy that pursues economic diversification beyond oil to augment Azerbaijan’s growth potential.
