Recognizing academic excellence as a core value of higher education, the Senate (Academic Council) of ADA University, has been committed to set out new strategies and actions to achieve a better education.
Transforming these vital strategies into measurable actions, the Senate – the keeper of fundamental scientific values of ADA, has recently approved new policies.
The new policies were announced at a meeting held on July 6 with the attendance of the University's faculty.
These newly established policies envision nurturing excellence in teaching and learning, developing the research culture of ADA, improving the quality of education to keep up with the fast-changing pace of the educational landscape.
As a result of continuous conversation and dialogues between faculty members, the Academic Council has established new programs in three strategic areas to reach academic targets.
ADA University is seeking to promote scientific research culture in an attempt to obtain internationally recognized research excellence.
For this purpose, the "Research Reward Program" was founded as a major vehicle for encouraging faculty researchers to contribute solving problems at the national and international levels.
Research Award Program aims to honor the efforts of ADA University researchers who contribute to the development of science.
The new "Research and Development Fund" will provide support to newly joining faculty or junior scholars having no publication record. The purpose of the Fund is to incentivize new faculty and provide standing faculty with a dedicated source of funding to pursue research activities and professional development.
As part of the comprehensive planning process, the Academic Council has decided to establish the “Best Müəllim” ("Best Teacher") Faculty Recognition Award for the purpose of rewarding exceptional and exemplary performance in teaching, recognizing specific accomplishments of the faculty members. The intent is to honor academic staff who have made outstanding contributions that positively impact teaching and learning.
One of the ways to achieve greater academic excellence without losing sight of acknowledging the scientific contributions of faculty is to establish a special award. The brand-new "Outstanding Müəllim and Alim” ("Outstanding Teacher and Scholar") award appreciates the efforts of distinguished faculty scholars who have published articles in international journals with an impact factor.
We are thrilled to announce that the University-wide academic reforms have been included in the official document ("Faculty Handbook") regulating the academic activities of faculty.
