Opening session of Advanced Regional Energy Security Symposium at ADA University

On September 6, 2021, ADA University hosted the Opening session of the Advanced Regional Energy Security Symposium 2021 – Caucasus organized by the Center of Excellence in EU Studies (CEEUS) at ADA University in partnership with the NATO Energy Security Center of Excellence, the Naval Postgraduate School, bp Azerbaijan, and State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).

CEEUS director Nargiz Ismayilova welcomed the guests representing public-private sectors, academic institutions, and international organizations.

The opening speeches were delivered by Dr. Fariz Ismailzade, Executive Vice-Rector of ADA University, Vitaliy Baylarbayov, Deputy Vice-President of SOCAR for Investments and Marketing, Elnur Soltanov, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Alan Howard, Deputy Director of the Energy Academic Group at Naval Postgraduate School.

Within the frame of Symposium, participants will attend presentations, discussions, group works, case studies, and exercises led by Dr. Brenda Shaffer from Naval Postgraduate School and other distinguished experts.

The closing ceremony of the Symposium will be held on September 10 at ADA University.
