ADA University’s COMPASS project jointly implemented with the University of Kent and University of Cambridge in the UK has been shortlisted for the Times Higher Education awards 2021, under the category of ‘Best International Collaboration’ of the year.
We are delighted to announce that our project has been singled out as the most 'Highly Commendable' under the category of international collaboration, selected out of five hundred submitted and five shortlisted projects!
GCRF COMPASS: Comprehensive Capacity Building in Eastern Neighborhood and Central Asia: research integration, impact governance and sustainable communities is an international project (ES/P010849/1; 2017-21) funded by UK’s Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) and led by University of Kent and University of Cambridge (UK) in partnership with ADA University (Azerbaijan), Belarusian State University (Belarus), Tajik National University (Tajikistan), and University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Uzbekistan (Uzbekistan).
The Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) is a fund of the UK Government to support cutting-edge research that addresses the challenges faced by developing countries. COMPASS belongs to the first generation of GCRF projects and aims to support prominent Universities in each partner country in enhancing joint research, developing public platforms, and integrating into a wider European and global scholarly communities.
