The first ADA University Alumni Forum was held in Budapest

On November 6, the first ADA University Alumni Forum was held at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Hungary.

The event was held on the eve of Azerbaijan's Victory Day and attended by more than 100 guests, including Azerbaijani and foreign graduates of ADA University living in  Europe, the head of the department of Diplomatic Academy of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, representatives from the diplomatic corps, including the ambassadors of Turkey and Georgia, the head of Representation Office of the Organization of Turkic States in Hungary, and representatives of scientific and academic centers.

Delivering a welcoming speech, Dr. Fariz Ismailzade, Vice Rector of ADA University and director of the Institute for Development and Diplomacy, welcomed the participants on behalf of Ambassador Hafiz Pashayev, Rector of ADA University, and expressed his gratitude for the great interest shown in the event.

Speaking at the opening of the event, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Hungary, Tahir Taghizade, touched upon the importance of organizing such a forum on the eve of the anniversary of Azerbaijan's Victory in the 44-day Patriotic War. He stated that ADA University has consistently made a significant contribution to the restoration and reconstruction work in Azerbaijan's liberated territories.

At the forum co-organized by PASHA Bank, the newly appointed Ambassador of Hungary to Azerbaijan, Tamás Torm, joined the forum virtually and stressed that he is satisfied with the strategic partnership relations between our countries and noted that he will work to contribute to the further strengthening of existing cooperative relations during his tenure. Congratulating our people on the occasion of Victory Day, T. Torm underlined that Hungary always supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and is interested in contributing to the restoration and reconstruction works carried out in our liberated territories.

The Head of Representation Office of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Budapest, Ambassador Janos Hovari, informed the participants of the forum about the activities carried out within the framework of the OTS, as well as the successful continuation of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary on the multilateral platform.

Following the opening session, the forum continued with a panel session on "Regional Development and Cooperation in the South Caucasus." Keynote speakers of the panel included Vice Rector of ADA University Fariz Ismailzade, Head of the Diplomacy Center of Matias Corvinus College Raymund Kis, researcher of Hungarian Institute of Foreign Affairs and Trade Laszlo Vasa, and head of the department responsible for Diplomatic Academy of Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Adam Imre Such. In the speeches of the representatives of Hungary, it was emphasized that Budapest fully supports Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Furthermore, the famous photojournalist Reza Deghati, who visited the liberated territories of our country many times,  delivered a presentation with photos reflecting the situation of our territories before and after the occupation.

The second-panel meeting of the event covered the topic "Future strategy of ADA University and the role of graduates." Dr. Vafa Kazdal, Vice Rector of Academic Affairs at ADA University, drew attention to a broad spectrum of specific topics.
