On the 16th of December, the Catapult Competition was held among undergraduate students at ADA University with the participation of 30 teams. The contest was organized on the initiative of Mehdi Kiyasatfar, an instructor of the Fundamentals of Physics course at ADA University. The main purpose of this competition was to encourage students to utilize physics, engineering and mechanical skills to use working catapults constructed by them in teams. As a general rule, each team was required to shoot three circular targets fixed to the floor at various distances with the catapults, and they were allowed a total of five scored shots from the launching area after placing their catapults. Upon completion, teams were ranked based on the number of points they received and the winners were announced. The following three teams with the highest total scores were awarded Certificates of Appreciation for their outstanding performance:
1st place – Aculas (Zemfira Yusifova, Azar Guliyev)
2nd place – Neutron (Leman Alizadeh)
3rd place – Alpha (Narmin Hasanali, Nahid Rzayev)
