On December 18, an excursion was organized to the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art, the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan and the Baku Museum of Miniature Books with the international students studying at ADA University within the framework of the Azerbaijani language teaching program. During this short trip, students became acquainted with the history and culture of Azerbaijan. The museums presented a great opportunity for the students to meet a large collection of national paintings, familiarize themselves with all periods of the history of Azerbaijan as well as miniature books published in both Azerbaijan and abroad. A trip was also made to the Old City (Icheri Sheher), a unique town within the city of Baku and the first location in Azerbaijan to be classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The students were informed of the historical and architectural elements of the buildings situated in Icheri Sheher. The students also had a chance to taste the national cuisine of Azerbaijan.
