Call for applications for Certificate Program on Sustainable Horticultural Systems

ADA University announces the call for applications for the Certificate Program offered jointly with the University of Bologna. The joint Certificate program is designed in collaboration with Macfrut Academy as a policy dialogue between different stakeholders in the agricultural and food sectors of Azerbaijan and Italy. Representatives from the industry, government, and academia will interact and brainstorm to explore answers to pressing issues and challenges of local small and medium enterprises in the agri-food sector through policy, research, and entrepreneurial response. Throughout the program, the participants will be trained to look for modern solutions tailored to the local context by drawing lessons from current global tendencies and best international practices. 

Upon successful completion of the program, all participants will be awarded a joint Certificate by the ADA University and the University of Bologna.

Target audience

The program is intended for representatives across the agri-food system including entrepreneurs, company executives, researchers, and government representatives to enhance know-how in the horticultural sector while promoting an inter-disciplinary and holistic approach.

The language of the program is English.

Format

The program is structured in 3 modules taught in the following format: 

Baku module: February 19-23

Asynchronous remote module (online): April 8-29

Bologna module: May 6 -10 Cost

The fee for the entire program is 1500 AZN.

50% discount is offered to researchers and professionals coming from academia. Participants are required to cover the airfare and accommodation expenses of the Bologna module. Travel-related organizational facilitation is to be provided by the organizers.
