The First Regional Forum on Pedagogical Innovations was held in the Gazakh Teachers' Seminary/ADA University Gazakh Center dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the outstanding educator Firudin Bay Kocharli. By hosting this inagural event on the eve of the great educator's birthday anniversary, ADA University once again expressed respect to him and demonstrated its devotion to his historical mission.
The Forum seeks to contribute to the modernization and improvement of the education system, by ensuring the continuation of the enlightenment movement and adhering to the historical tradition of the Gazakh Teachers' Seminary.
The event started with the introductory remarks delivered by Vafa Kazdal, Vice Rector of Strategy and Advancement, and Member of the Management Board of the Gazakh Teachers' Seminary.
Vafa Kazdal noted that the teachers representing the regions at the Forum will discuss innovative approaches that can be implemented in education alongside the Faculty members of ADA University. The Vice Rector further stated that the Forum serves as a platform for "Seminarists" to engage in intellectual exchange. The purpose of this event is to foster a sense of community among teachers and school principals at the regional level, stimulate cooperation and experience sharing, and thus contribute to educational growth.
The Head of Gazakh District Executive Authority Rajab Babashov welcomed the participants and highligted the importance of growing and developing the skills while talking about the role of educatos in cultivation of generation.
Galib Mammad, Member of the Management Board of the Gazakh Teachers' Seminary talked about the main attributes and key characteristics symbolizing the teachers, as well as the meaning and definition of their profession. Mr. Mammad highlighted that the respect for teachers in society reflects the value of this profession. ADA University further enhances the designation of "teacher" by developing new projects and cultivating a new generation of educators. Galib Mammad emphasized that ADA University incorporates historical examples into its goal and honors educators who have had a long-term effect on history via their efforts.
The Forum proceeded with a presentation on "Modern Pedagogical Approaches" by Ulviyya Mikayilova, Dean of the School of Education at ADA University.
ADA University students and alumni working in various educational institutions - Elsa Isgandarli, Soylu Khalilova, Vali Aliyev, Tunzala Huseynova and Aytakin Aliyeva presented their pedagogical ideas. Presentations featured important topics such as modern pedagogical approaches to be applied in the teaching-learning process, digital innovations, Azerbaijanism and the role of citizenship position in education.
Later, ADA University instructors shared their experience with regional teachers in organizing student-oriented teaching.
The presentation on "Creating a Socratic classroom environment" was delivered by Gunel Karimova, Senior Instructor of ADA University.
In the end, Senior Instructor of ADA University Lala Mammadova emphasized the motivational effects of project-based learning on students and pupils.
The Forum also explored how to efficiently organize alumni activities, as well as the function of the ADA University Gazakh Center Alumni Association.
Aynura Safarova, Chairperson of the Alumni Association of ADA University Gazakh Center, informed about the annual activity plan of the organization.
Later, 13 regional coordinators of the Alumni Association were announced by Ziya Mirzayev, Senior Advisor of ADA University Gazakh Center.
At the end of the Forum, the exhibition "Values" by Aynura Mustafayeva was launched. The exhibition of paintings that reflect our national and moral values will remain on display till February 2.
It should be noted that the Forum, which is planned to be held every year, will contribute to the improvement of various educational fields including leadership in education, quality assurance, organization of evaluation process, as well as planning distant, inclusive, and special education management, and so on.
