The 4th Ecological Forum was hosted at ADA University
ADA University hosted the 4th Ecological Forum of young eco-leaders in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Republican Child and Youth Development Center, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and ADA University. The Forum was held as a part of “Green hub” annual ecological awareness program.
It was an Environmental forum through which the school students were encouraged for active engagement in environmental protection, and also had an opportunity to gain a full spectrum about ecological action.
The 4th Ecological Forum was a networking platform for more than 120 school students by creating a bridge between the members from the Eco Clubs under the Child and Youth Development Centers of capital Baku and regions. This year’s forum also brought together the representatives of Eco Clubs from 27 different regional Child and Youth Development Centers for the first time ever.
During the forum, the Eco Clubs’ leaders introduced their annual reports of 2018-2019 academic years by delivering a presentation related to the recommendations on 17 Sustainable Development Goals determined by the UN.
The forum attendees had an opportunity to get an insightful description of the recycle project conducted by the ADA University Foundation (ADAF) through the speech of Director of Office of Sponsored Projects Firuza Aliyeva. F. Aliyeva gave a summary about “Təmiz Ölkəm” recycle project, which is jointly run by the ADAF, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, AzEkol LLC and Coca-Cola Foundation, and briefed the implemented environmental actions in the framework of the project. “Təmiz Ölkəm” project was designed for creating public awareness and clear understanding on the grave consequences of plastic pollution and recycling of plastic bottles.
