Bachelor of Laws (Legum Baccalaureus)
About LL.B Program
ADA University Law Program (LL.B) is primarily aimed at training a new generation of lawyers, using international best practices in modern legal education. The necessity for establishing a brand-new law program at ADA University emanates from certain historical, political, and legal factors, which have existed for decades in Azerbaijan. The process of democratic reformation of the existing legal system in Azerbaijan started after regaining independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, with the aim of reshaping the philosophy of public institutions, strengthening respect toward fundamental human rights of individuals, and providing effective legal protection mechanisms, as well as establishing fair terms of market competition for private enterprises. Therefore, developing a modern and competitive law program, not only for serving domestic needs, but also for being able to accommodate global legal challenges (e.g., practicing law in an international setting, working with international clients in cross-border transactions, in major corporations, and in international organizations) has become a vital commitment.
