With the initiative and support of ADA University, the full corpus of "Azerbaijan" newspaper, organ of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic government is being prepared for publication by transliterating it from the Arabic script into a Latin script Azerbaijani alphabet and adding sections such as dictionary, explanatory notes, comments as well as names.
The materials in "Azerbaijan" newspaper directly reflects the history of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. The materials about Karabakh and Zangazur regions which of are particular importance in these days will surely make readers interested.
On the pages of the newspaper, the decisions of the Government of Azerbaijan, the speeches of the members of the Parliament, the details of the events in the capital and the regions, various analyses, memories were reflected.
From September 15, 1918 to April 28, 1920, 443 issues of the "Azerbaijan" newspaper were published, while the first four issues were published in Ganja and others in Baku. The editors of the newspaper were prominent intellectuals at different times, such as Jeyhun bey Hajibeyli, Shafi bey Rustambeyli, Uzeyir bey Hajibeyli and Khalil Ibrahim.
